Nina Trulli Resort is a Masseria surrounded by the typical countryside of Valle d'Itria and Trulli Coast, only 5 km far from the sea. We are in Monopoli, a place of rooted sea traditions, known at the same time as the hundred districts town. Tortorella is precisely one of these districts.
Monopoli has its origins in the Middle Bronze; later it became the Messapian city, surrounded by powerful walls now incorporated in the XVI century castle. But its fame dates back to medieval times when ancient nautical charts spotted Monopoli among the prominent port cities, like Bari and Brindisi. Monopoli saw the domination of several kingdoms: Lombards, Byzantines, Normans, Spaniards and Venetians.
In 1530 it becomes personal possession of Charles V, who sold it to a merchant from Messina. All citizens paid a tribute to redeem their freedom and regain possession of their town.
The masseria is located in a strategic place as it allows to reach the main attractions of the area: Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Ostuni, Conversano, Brindisi, Lecce....
